Accessibility

Back in Color is made to be easy to read and easy to tap, whatever your eyesight. This is what the app for iPhone does.
Text size
- The app follows the text size set on your iPhone (Settings, then Display & Brightness, then Text Size, or the Larger Text sizes under Accessibility).
- The questions at the start grow up to the largest size before the accessibility sizes, and as far as your screen allows. Each question then still fits on one screen, without scrolling, with its button in view.
- The preview, the price and your result grow to about 235% of the normal size. These pages scroll when the text is large.
- At the normal size, no text in the app is smaller than 16 points.
Contrast and color
- Text is shown at a contrast of at least 7 to 1 against its background, the highest level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, level AAA).
- A chosen answer is shown by a dark fill, a check mark and a thicker border, never by color alone.
- When your iPhone is set to Increase Contrast, the app uses darker lines and colors.
Buttons and taps
- Every button and link is at least 48 points tall and wide, with space between them. Main buttons are at least 56 points tall.
- Each page of questions at the start asks one question.
- The Continue button never greys out. If an answer is missing, the app says so in words.
